ASLA Colorado’s 2022 Professional Design Awards:
Recognizing excellent works by Colorado’s landscape architects.
The American Society of Landscape Architects Colorado Chapter presented 22 (twenty-two) Professional Design Awards at the Chapter’s Annual Gathering and Awards Event held at the Denver Art Museum on the evening of September 8, 2022.
The awards recognize exceptional professional accomplishments by Colorado and Wyoming landscape architects. ASLA Colorado represents more than 400 landscape architects and is part of a national organization representing more than 14,000. Like engineering and architecture, landscape architecture is a licensed profession that protects public health, safety and welfare.
“The amazing work by our Chapter’s landscape architects is truly extraordinary. Our members have designed exquisite mountain residential sites, public spaces throughout Colorado, and broad-ranging research and analysis master planning projects. Their park and neighborhood plans serve diverse communities, addressing both social justice and environmental needs. There’s even an impressive master plan for redeveloping neglected waterfront and Olympic venues of Athens, Greece. These award-winning projects show how landscape architects create spaces where all of us can live, work and play, and significantly contribute to the public realm,” said ASLA Colorado President Daniel Morgan.
More than 150 landscape architects, suppliers and friends attended the outdoor event
The awards were independently judged by a jury from the ASLA California Sierra Chapter and the winning projects are posted on the ASLA Colorado website at www.aslacolorado.org/awards. The online awards gallery includes photos, plant lists and the full narrative describing the projects. The site allows viewing the awards by category, year of entry and winning firm or agency.
