On Thursday, April 13 at noon EST (9:00 a.m. PST), we’re convening an esteemed landscape architecture panel for Beyond the Classroom Walls: The Importance of Activating Outdoor Spaces on College Campuses. On today’s campus, the desire has never been greater to create new outdoor spaces that comfortably bring learning outside, offer an inspiring sense of place, and reflect the unique identities of their institutions. Our panelists will share expert insight into the overall importance of connecting people with nature in built environments, and how designers can apply this vital, innate human need to university settings. Here’s who’s joining us for the conversation:
Moderator:
Aan Garrett-Coleman, ASLA, LEED, AP, President and Founder Coleman & Associates
Panelists:
Byron Sampson, University Landscape Architect, Associate Director Arizona State University
Tom Flynn, RLA, Landscape Architect Penn State University
