The fall foliage in Aspen is breathtaking, especially at the Highlands Retreat, a residential property nestled within the canopy of an aspen forest high in the alpine valley. Designed by Design Workshop, the landscape features a rich palette of native grasses, herbaceous flowering plants, and wildflowers, and merges almost imperceptibly with the surrounding forest and meadow to imbue a sense of peace, permanence and resilience.
