About Our Search

Our Denver office is looking for a well-qualified, motivated, Landscape Designer to join the Landscape Architecture Studio.  Our next team member will have excellent communication, design, technical, graphic and visualization skills. This individual will work with design teams of landscape architects, architects, interior designers and consultants to successfully execute a rich variety of project types.

Hord Coplan Macht’s award winning landscape architecture practice serves a diverse clientele.  At HCM, we are passionate about vibrant public space design. We utilize proven placemaking design principles to create dynamic, high performing, sustainable public spaces in all our project including parks, housing /mixed-use neighborhoods, healthcare environments, senior living communities, and educational campuses. Creating a high-quality and uniquely identifiable sense of place in our projects is at the core of our mission. HCM believes in an inclusive, collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to problem solving where the design of public open space is a fluid collaboration between our client, municipalities, community stakeholders, and our design team.


About the Position

Assist in generating design solutions and design development.
Create site analysis diagrams and graphics.
Support senior staff in collecting precedent imagery and creating image boards.
Prepare site plan and 3D renderings and assist in developing design presentations.
Develop and draft construction documents; plans and details.
Interact with project consultants and clients to facilitate the design process.

About You 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture required.
2-5 years of experience in a Landscape Architecture practice.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape or other 3D presentation software is required. Experience with BIM software is a plus.
Ability to collaborate in design and documentation process from concept design through construction documents.
Ability to adapt to a variety of project types and project teams and be a team player.
Experience with construction drawings and developing construction details.
Interact professionally with consultants and clients.
Work, communicate and ask questions effectively to achieve the project goals.
Passionate towards design, strong work ethic, sense of ownership and pride in your work.
Produce high-quality documents under deadline-driven environments.
