Who Plan West is looking for:

Plan West is seeking landscape architects with an interest in site development and 1 to 3 years of experience in land use planning, site design, and/or entitlement management.  We are expanding our team with creative people who are looking for the opportunity to expand their professional knowledge of development and want to express their ideas from concept through development.   We value an  inquisitive mind, a positive outlook, and an engaging personality that will complement our collaborative approach and help create great places.  We are looking for up-and-coming professionals to help us support landowners, developers, and municipalities in a wide spectrum of land planning and land development programs.

Skills and talents we value for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience:

  • Basic knowledge of and interest in land development, land use planning, site design, design detailing, and landscape design
  • The desire to continue to learn all aspects of land development including land use planning, site design, detailed design, and entitlement management
  • Participation in a supporting role on projects led by others
  • Creative design skills, problem solving, and presentation abilities
  • Basic understanding of zoning documents and entitlement management, including the submittal/approval process with municipal governments and agencies
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Personal character with an engaging personality is as important as design and technical skills
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
